The Faculty of Technology has been admitting students since 2010-2011 fall semester. The curricula of the engineering departments in the faculty of technology are different from the curricula in other faculties of engineering. This enables the graduates acquire qualified practical skills and become qualified engineers. Thus, they graduate from the faculty with the awareness related to the practical needs in the area. Within the frame of Erasmus+ and Farabi programs, students get the chance to study in various universities in the European countries and Turkey for one semester or two semesters.
We provide high quality engineering education to our students. Thus, they can find solutions by utilizing modern technology, the available resources, time, labor force, and environment conditions efficiently. Our vision is to become a recognized institution at the international level. We strive to be innovative and eager to improve constantly. Thus, our students adopt active learning as a principle and know how to access information. Also, we are ready to take part in every kind of development across the country and to train engineers as life-long learners who can communicate and collaborate with the partners effectively.
We emphasize practical training in our faculty, and accordingly, have equipped the workplaces and laboratories of all the departments with the latest technology. In our faculty’s departments, we have an Automotive Engineering Research and Application Laboratory, Internal Combustion Engines Laboratory, Fuel Analysis Laboratory, Automotive Electrical and Electronics Laboratory, Engine Test Laboratory, Flexible Manufacturing Systems Laboratory, Robotics Laboratory, six Laboratories of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, CNC Laboratory, Laboratory of Energy and Fluid Mechanics, Laboratory of Mechanics and Machine Elements, Machine Tools Laboratory, Basic Operations Laboratory, Computer Aided Manufacturing Laboratory, Computer Aided Design Laboratory, Surface Treatment Laboratory, Producing and Processing Laboratory, Powder Metallurgy Laboratory, Metal Technology Laboratory, and Materials Characterization Laboratory.
Although some analysis devices (XRD, SEM, XRF, DTA/TG, and so on) are not available in the department laboratories, they are available in the central research laboratory at the university
and are open for the use of our students and academic staff. The students and academic staff can use them for education and research and development effectively.
