The Faculty of Science and Literature was founded at the same year, 1992, with Afyon Kocatepe University and has been in service since 1993. It has 15 departments, five in the science fields and ten in the social fields. Daytime and/or evening education is available in all the departments except for Psychology, Archaeology, Art History, and Western Languages and Literature.
The Faculty of Science and Literature is one of the biggest faculties in our university with around four thousand students. Our faculty has around 150 dynamic and qualified instructors in their fields.
The programs of the departments at our faculty have been arranged according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Within the frame of LLP/ERASMUS programs, our students with the required qualifications have the opportunity to study or do an internship abroad for one semester or two semesters in universities or various institutions in Europe without paying tuition fee.
Our faculty unceasingly develops for enabling the graduates to have more employment opportunities and also social improvement through scientific research. The Faculty of Science and Literature aims to train scientists. It also endeavors to train individuals in order to meet the demands in various public and private institutions and scientific fields. Together with this, it also contributes to the development of science field and provides the society with knowledge.
In the field of social sciences, it plays a crucial role in ensuring the protection of social values and their continuity
by transferring them to the future generations. The graduates of the Faculty of Science and Literature start their career with the qualifications in line with this understanding.
